Search Engine Rankings (SEO)

Do you have your own website or blog? Do you write your own unique content for it? If you don't write your own unique content, then you should. Don't waste money on "Article Spinning," "Private Label Articles," or other similar options. Granted, some people might try that route, but the best way to get the Search Engines to love you is to just provide relevant unique content.

The more relevant unique content you have on a blog or website means the more search engines will like your website. You could mix in article with reprint rights or private label articles, but they will never be as good as writing unique content.

You could also hire a ghostwriter, but make sure you can trust them to only produce original content. Some ghostwriter might just use rehashed information, which won't help at all.

Have you ever doubted having a free blog on blogspot.com or wordpress.com? Do you think you have to have a web host and your own domain name to get the search engines to like you? That's not true. Granted, it helps build credibility if you're selling a product or service, but for a simple blog it's not "required."

The screenshot below shows you what you can do if you just provide relevant unique content on a simple free blog host like blogspot.com (blogger.com). Without even trying a couple pages on this blog ranked 2nd and 3rd on the 1st page of google for the search term, "mind game think positively". On 11/20/2011 that search term had about 53.5 million results. This simple blog had 2 pages on the 1st page.

The best part about using a free blog-hosting service is that you can try as many different types of blogs as you want without having to pay money for it. Want to try a new keyword, then create a new blog with that keyword, write unique content for it, and see what happens.

Keep it simple, provide value, and write original content, and you'll be amazed at the results you can achieve.

Does the Music You Listen to Give You Away

What music puts you in a good mood? What music makes you feel better? There were times in life when I was just flat out mad at the world, and the music I listened to showed it. I'd always listen to hard rock or alternative that seemed to go along with that life. Songs where I couldn't actually understand most of the words, but it just seemed to fit my mood.

The more I change my mindset to be positive and focus on the value of things in life the more my taste in music changes. Sometimes I just don't listen to music anymore since it seems to distract me when I'm trying to focus. Perhaps, I just haven't found the right music. What songs do you listen to when you need to focus and not be distracted?

When I was always negative I'd make fun of country music, the people who listened to it, and just everything about it. However, it's not so bad anymore. I can actually understand the words in all the songs that I like, and they have a good range of instruments and sounds.

I don't buy CDs anymore though. Nowadays, if I listen to music at all I just use one of the free online radio stations. At first I was excited when I found Pandora.com. You could somewhat customize what music played on your stations, but it's not as user-friendly as some other websites out there.

My current favorite free online customized radio station website is Jango.com, which makes it really easy to pick a popular "station" or create your own. You can add any artist, rate the music, share music with friends, click on links to lyrics, and much more! Plus, you don't have advertisements every few songs like with Panodora.comLast.fm is another website similar to the ones mentioned, but Jango.com has my vote.

You're sitting in a comfy chair on the beach somewhere exotic reading your favorite book. You accidentally spill your drink on the book you're reading and now all the pages are soaked.

        • Must be time to take a nap while the book dries
        • I needed to get up and stretch anyways
        • Time to go for a walk and enjoy the beach
        • Good thing I brought another book!

An airplane loses a wing while in the air

          • Now the pilots get to test how good their skills really are
          • If everybody on the plane survives, then they'll appreciate life a lot more. They might even get in contact with friends and family they haven't spoken to in a long time to rekindle relationships they let slide
          • Everybody will have a great story to tell in social situations
          • Problems people used to think were a big deal probably won't seem to bad anymore comparatively

          Mind Game - Think Positively - #1

The purpose of this mind game is to try to come up with as many "positive" things you can think of for the given object or situation. No matter how bad the object or situation may seem try to think of positive things that might come from it. If you can create good habits for yourself by looking for the value of things and staying positive, then over time you will notice many new opportunities become available to you.

          Potholes in the road
          • It helps ensure the road workers have a job
          • It keeps the tire companies in business
          • It helps make a driver stay aware of his/her surroundings while driving
          • What else can you think of...?

A sail gets a large hole in it and no longer works
          • At least I installed an inbound motor, so I wouldn't get stuck if the sail broke
          • Look at that beautiful horizon. It just goes on and on forever. I never really appreciated that.
          • I always wanted to learn how to fix a sail
          • What else can you think of...?
